I have just returned from Las Vegas and the convention of the Destination Wedding and Honeymoon Association. It has been quite a while since I have been to the city and WOW, what a difference!

Our convention was two days of exciting new ideas about new locations and a bit of best practices, but Las Vegas really was the star of the show. We saw venues for that perfect wedding away from the Strip, and great venues on the Strip. In Vegas you can find every type of wedding venue from the famous chapels, where Elvis reigns (and does weddings!), to the beautiful Four Seasons atop the Mandalay Bay resort. One really unusual venue, among many that the city offers, is the Neon Museum, where the backdrop for your ceremony is the classic neon signs from the original hotels on the Strip.

Plus, when you're thinking about non-wedding activities, consider the casinos, the shows, the world class restaurants, and some of the most incredible shopping you can imagine. You and your guests will never run out of things to do.

As a specialists in the destination wedding and honeymoon market, we occasionally forget that its possible to have a fabulous destination wedding without leaving the continental United States.
